What Happens
- The vehicle is safely raised on our lift.
- All four wheels are carefully removed.
- Wheel faces, barrels, calipers and wheel wells are each thoroughly cleaned.
- Wheels are reinstalled and torqued to manufacturer specification.
That last step is not a formality. Wheels that go back on without being torqued correctly are a genuine safety problem, and it is a corner some shops cut.

Required for Full Wheel & Caliper Coating
If you want your wheels ceramic coated all the way around rather than just on the faces, this service is a prerequisite. A coating cannot be applied to a barrel that has not been cleaned, and the barrel cannot be cleaned with the wheel on the car.
Coated wheels are considerably easier to keep clean afterwards — brake dust sits on the surface and rinses off instead of baking on.
