Interior Ceramic Coating in Mount Carroll, IL
The same coating technology that protects your paint works on the surfaces you actually touch every day. Dashboards, door panels, console trim and leather all take UV damage and staining, and unlike paint, almost nobody protects them.
Interior Plastic Coating — from $125
Up to 2+ years
Applied to your interior plastics — door panels, dash and centre console — and to gloss trim areas including piano black and carbon fibre.
- Protects against UV damage, fading and discolouration
- Makes surfaces noticeably easier to clean
- Maintains a like-new appearance for longer
Piano black trim is the strongest case for this. It scratches if you look at it wrong and shows every fingerprint, and a coating makes it far more forgiving.
Leather Coating — from $100
Up to 1 to 2 years
A professional-grade ceramic coating applied to your leather surfaces.
- Protects against UV damage, fading and discolouration
- Makes surfaces easier to clean
- Keeps leather soft and supple
- Maintains a like-new appearance for longer
Light-coloured leather benefits most. Dye transfer from jeans onto cream or tan seats is one of the most common interior problems we see, and it is far easier to prevent than to remove.
Both Include
- Our in-house warranty
- Automatic enrolment in the Premier Care Club
About Pricing
The prices above are for application of the coating only. Preparation is quoted separately because it depends entirely on the condition and age of the vehicle.
That is not a hidden cost, it is physics. A coating bonds to whatever surface it finds. Applied over dirt, old dressing residue or worn-in body oils, it seals those in and fails early. The interior has to be properly cleaned first.
Why It Is Worth Doing
Over the past few years Joey has learned and refined a wide range of skills so the shop can take a vehicle from filthy to protected without sending it anywhere else.
- UV comes through glass. Your dash takes sun damage every day the vehicle is parked outside, and cracked or faded dashboards are expensive to fix and impossible to reverse.
- Spills sit on the surface instead of soaking in, which turns most interior accidents into a wipe rather than a stain.
- Routine cleaning gets faster, so the interior actually stays clean between details.
- On a vehicle you plan to keep or resell, interior condition affects value as much as paint does.
Pairs With Exterior Coating
Most people coat the outside and stop there. Doing both at the same visit means one drop-off, and it means the whole vehicle is protected rather than half of it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does an interior ceramic coating do?
It creates a protective layer over plastics, trim and leather that resists UV fading, repels spills and makes the surface easier to clean. It is the same principle as a paint coating, formulated for interior materials.
How long does it last?
Interior plastic coating lasts up to 2+ years. Leather coating lasts around 1 to 2 years, since leather flexes and takes more direct contact.
How is it applied?
The surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and prepared, then the coating is applied by hand and levelled. Prep is the part that determines whether it lasts — a coating over an unclean surface fails early.
Why is prep priced separately?
Because interiors arrive in wildly different conditions. A two-year-old car needs very little. A ten-year-old work truck needs a great deal. Quoting prep separately means you pay for what your vehicle actually needs rather than an average.
Will it change how my leather looks or feels?
It should not change the appearance. Leather stays soft and supple — the coating helps it stay that way rather than drying out.
Can I coat only the leather, or only the plastics?
Yes. They are priced separately and either can be done on its own, though most people do both while the interior is already prepped.
