A detail shop in Mount Carroll, Illinois, built out of a home garage and a genuine obsession with getting things right.
It Started in a Garage in 2020
In 2020, Joey Promenschenkel started detailing cars out of a home garage in Mount Carroll under the name 330 Detailing. At the time it was nothing more than a side hustle built on a passion he already had. It did not stay a side hustle for long. Word travelled, bookings kept coming, and within a short period it was clear the business had outgrown the garage.
A Real Shop, in 2023
In 2023 we moved into our current location at 751 West Commercial Street in Mount Carroll. The space changed what was possible. A lift meant wheels could come off for proper cleaning. Controlled lighting meant paint defects could actually be seen before they were polished out. An enclosed, climate-stable bay meant ceramic coatings could cure properly.
That last point matters more than people realise. Coating work cannot be done well in a driveway. Dust lands in it, temperature swings affect how it cures, and the result is a coating that fails early. Moving into the shop is what made a whole category of work possible.
Premier Auto Studio, from July 2025
In July 2025 we rebranded to Premier Auto Studio. Same owner, same standards, same shop, same phone number. What changed was the name and the branding. The work behind it did not.
If you knew us as 330 Detailing, it is still us. Same person answering the phone.
What We Do
Over the past few years Joey has learned and refined a wide range of skills so the shop can take a vehicle from filthy to protected without sending it anywhere else.
- Interior and exterior detailing, from maintenance cleans to full deep details
- Paint correction across three levels, from light enhancement to heavy defect removal
- Feynlab ceramic coatings rated from one year to five-plus
- Interior coatings for leather, plastics and trim
- Window tinting for front, rear, windshield and sunroof glass
Everything happens under one roof. Nothing gets sent out.
How We Work
One vehicle at a time
We do not stack cars up and rush them through. A correction and coating job can take days, and it gets the days it needs
Straight answers about your paint
If your clear coat has damage a polish will not fix, we will tell you that rather than sell you a package that cannot deliver. If a cheaper option would get you most of the way there, we will say so.
Professional-grade products only
We use the most exclusive high-quality products available, including Feynlab coatings. There are cheaper ways to do this work. We do not use them.
What We Are Known For
Feynlab is our coating partner. Their range covers everything from an entry-level coating that outperforms any wax or sealant through to a five-plus year, sixty-five-thousand-mile coating, and it includes self-healing chemistry that most brands do not offer.
Every coating we install also carries our own in-house warranty and enrolment in the Premier Care Club.
